CRITICAL REVIEW

Ilie Bostan’s work  is an expressionism of Onirist nature trying, in the 90s to re-evaluate the anthropomorphic poetics. This anthropomorphism under the sign of ambiguity reiterates the classic themes  that generated, over the history of art, the monumental – heroism and beauty. Yet the sculptor’s vision shows the opposite of these hypostases – the heroes are dramatic blanks of the pattern, while the beauty’s brilliance (adherence to the truth) keeps a sequential eroticism. All is consumed between drama and parody.
