CRITICAL REVIEW

 
        Oriana Pelladi’s works are true nostalgic remains. The memory of the young ceramist brings forth family related elements, drawn from the parental home atmosphere (pillows, doilies etc.) The artist from Baia Mare revives a time and a place of self-knowledge, of revaluation in which there are illustrated childhood commonplaces (the hopscotch, the garden tree - Drawing). Oriana evokes beloved beings (the mother) and she imagines characters (from readings - Gulliver) through the (marble) torso-fragments upon which she intervenes with casts after doilies (The Dowry). In her compositions, the artist illustrates constancies, but also what interferes with the transitory (the Emptiness multimedia instalment).
