CRITICAL REVIEW

The vivid interest for natural volumetric structures, the persuasive intelligence and the exploited talent underlie the perception and the artistic expression characteristic to Ana-Maria Negară. The artist investigates natural geometry through inspired drawings of the limestone structures of the marine or oceanic snail shells and she elaborates shapes that evoke the nature’s lasting perfection in works like The Drop of Mountains. The imponderability suggested by the different stages of movement, in works such as Black Beauty or Annunciation, completed by the evidence of investing brutal force coordinated by the conceptual pre-established thread, such in the case of symposia sculptures, completed by experimental works like the Evolution instalment, are a sign of vivid interest, of real, constructive creativity particular to the strong and promising young artist.
