CRITICAL REVIEW

The anthropocentric ideal reveals itself even in those works that seem to be dominated by ordinate tendencies, as it usually occurs within symposia. Beyond the geometric appearances, though, the shapes display here a continuous link to the reality of the human body. This ideal is much more accentuated in portraits and torsos in which the direct evocation of the human body is made under the sign of grace and beauty. The relation between the deeply ground areas and those that keep the accidents of the material ensure a certain dynamics of the expression, underlined by the play of volumes in the composition structure.
