Initially he makes a figurative sculpture with accentuated expressionist tendencies, cultivating a certain grotesque humour. In 1981 he opens an exhibition of Chairs, objects that are rather imaginary, more than utilitarian, in which the wood is treated as a subtle, malleable matter, whose modulations and torsions reminds us of the formal repertoire by Art Nouveau and Gaudi. His speculation on the possibilities of the wood continues and is upgraded further in the non-figurative works of the last decade. He also made masks and backgrounds for the theatre.
