CRITICAL REVIEW

His speech aims at prospecting the expressive possibilities of the figurative register, considered impossible to exhaust, despite his stylistic transgressions. He studies human characters and concentrates emotional feelings with expressionist nuances in a series of generic portraits with a symbolic level and with transpositions close to the traditional realist portraitist features (Meanness, State of mind, Aboulia etc.). He accentuates by finishing different qualities of the inner expressivity of his favourite metal (bronze), purifying in an impressionist manner its material shape (Passing Youths). On the other hand, he synthesizes the symbolic tensions under the incidence of an abbreviated, abstract commentary (Universe, Paradise).
